Surrey Summer Marquee Wedding at Home
We are delighted to share one of our real marquee weddings at home in Surrey from earlier this summer.

CHAMPAGNE ARRIVAL DRINKS IN YOUR GARDEN
Elise and Peter married earlier in the year at Chelsea Town Hall however the summer celebration was planned to have all their close family and friends join them at their family home with a marquee wedding reception.
Guests were welcomed to the home with champagne on arrival whilst their guests had the opportunity to catch up after spending so much time apart following the Covid pandemic.
A Jazz band The Quartones were playing in the background whilst the team at Caper and Berry welcomed the guests. We were so lucky with the weather and the sun shone all day in the stunning gardens of the family home.

OUTDOOR WEDDING CEREMONY IN YOUR GARDEN
This has to be my favourite part and working with Mad Lilies, the stunning floral archway created a beautiful backdrop for the outdoor blessing.
It was such a heartfelt ceremony led by celebrant, Christina Walker with vows written by Elise and Peter. I am not sure there was a dry eye in the house!
With the backdrop of the English Country Garden, the full floral arch and meadows lining the aisle, we couldn’t be more pleased with the final look of the outdoor ceremony area.
CHAMPAGNE, COCKTAILS, SOMMILIER AND CANAPES RECEPTION
Following the ceremony, guests were led through the floral arch (perfect photo opportunity!) before a fabulous confetti shot down the steps to the water garden so guests could enjoy cocktails and champagne to start the celebrations. Caper & Berry created an outdoor garden bar and also a French food station paired with many wines that guests had the opportunity to learn more with the Sommelier that was on hand.
On the steps up to the next garden, a Sax player played some tunes to create the perfect summer vibe whilst Caper and Berry came out with so many delicious canapes.
FOOD STATIONS FOR YOUR DRINKS RECEPTION - MARQUEE WEDDING
After about an hour or so, guests then moved to the other side of the property in the Sun Dial Garden to experience foods from different regions. Reflecting on the couple’s time together, they had a Sushi Station, Turkish station and an Italian Station. Each station offering something very tasty and great for guest interaction as each station was paired with a native drink from the country.
The summer sun was getting lower in the sky creating the perfect golden hour and it was such an amazing feeling seeing everyone enjoy the interactive food stations, cocktails and catching up with their nearest and dearest.
MARQUEE WEDDING BREAKFAST
The time had come for guests to take a seat for their wedding breakfast in the marquee by Joseph Benjamin Marquees. Not only are they extremely professional, their products are some of the best out there.
Guests entered with a fabulous central 360 round bar using a fabric pattern supplied by Elise and Peter with a gorgeous floral chandelier from Mad Lilies above. I think you’ll agree it really was a show stopper!
All the sides of the marquee were up so we could fully appreciate the beautiful backdrop of the garden surrounding us with Italian Ruscus greenery framing the ceiling windows.
In the background we had a Grand Piano playing by Lee Matthews Pianist whilst Caper & Berry served a delicious 3 course meal followed by Espresso Martinis to get the party going!
Guests danced the night away with Seven Band booked via Network Alive – so professional and were amazing!
Throughout the night we had Boomerang Booth on hand and boy did everyone have fun with them (including us!).
